leadership style of Macbeth and Beowulf

Macbeths and beowulf's leadership styles

Many people have different styles of being a leader. When it comes to being a leader you have to have certain qualities. Some people have good leadership but some people don’t. As in Macbeth and Beowulf, they both had extremely different leadership styles. One was awful leader while the other was wonderful leader.
Macbeth has not a good leader. He was hated by many people and even his own people hated him. Macbeth only thought about his self ever since the witches told him about his future. He wanted to make his prophecy’s come true and he did at some point by killing all the people who he thought might get in his way. Macbeth started going crazy and not even thing about the protection of the people he should be protecting. He was a selfish leader and just wanted to keep his place as a king.
Beowulf on the other hand was a good, brave and passionate leader. He was trustworthy person always there for anyone. In the story when Beowulf when back to Sweden and he heard that the king in Demark was in trouble again he came back to help the king Hrothger and his people. Beowulf really wasn't looking to be a king; he just wanted to be remembered as a grate hero who will live forever. Also in the film Beowulf was brave enough to face his own son to protect his people. At the end he did feel awful for killing his son but it was his destiny to protect his people no matter who he was killing.
Therefore both Macbeth and Beowulf have different style s of leadership. Macbeth didn't care about anyone but himself. He turned evil and to a careless and impatient person that just wanted to his future in a snap of a finger. Now Beowulf he was the opposite of Macbeth. Beowulf in the story was a type of leader who always kept his word. Beowulf was a brave and respectful and with a lot of pride of being a hero. Both Macbeth and Beowulf died at the end of the story but Macbeth died for being a selfish king and Beowulf for having a lot of pride and courage.
To my conclusion it depends what kind of person you are to determine what kind of leader you’re going to be. Some people have good styles and some simple have bad styles like in Macbeth and Beowulf. Two different personally two different type of leaderships.

Beowulf essay

Beowulf’s similarities and differences
There were a lot of differences and some similarities from both the movie and text Beowulf. In both the film and text Beowulf has a right hand man, Wiglaf. A difference is that in the film when Beowulf went to kill Grendel’s mother he doesn’t kill her and in the film when he goes to battle with her he kills her immediately. Another difference is that Beowulf kills the dragon with more action in the film, in the text the dragon melted Beowulf shield and almost burned Beowulf to dead.

In both the film and the text Beowulf always had a right hand man. A man who has always supported him and was there for all the battles that Beowulf had been in. His name is Wiglaf. Wiglaf stood with Beowulf even if he thought he was wrong. He believed that Beowulf was a good man and was proud he was an epic hero. I think that the director didn’t change it that because Wiglaf was a loyal man and every epic hero needs at least one good friend or a right hand man.
The first major different in the film that’s not in the text is that, when Beowulf went to go kill Grendel’s mother, he didn’t kill her. She convinced him to not kill her because he had killed her only son. She promises Beowulf that if he gave her a son she would make him the king of Demark, and any other fine promises. That caught Beowulf’s eyes and he fell for her trap and later when he went back to Herot he lied to everybody saying that he had killed Grendel’s mother and that everyone in demark was safe. While in the text when Beowulf entered the swamp he had a big battle with an ugly monster and ended up killing her. The reason I think the director changed this so that the curse of the kings would continue, because at first in the film king Hrouhgar was curse. Hrouhgar had fallen into Grendel’s mothers trap once upon a time to and now Beowulf was curse and anyone else that was king of Demark will be curse to.
Another difference between the text and the film was that when Beowulf had finished killing Grendel’s mother he when straight back to Sweden and became king over there. While he was over there he battled a dragon. Beowulf man had gone to help him but they ended up leaving Beowulf alone with the dragon. Beowulf had no protection to service from the dragons flaming breath Beowulf ended up suffering, wrapped around in swirling flames. Yet in the movie Beowulf fought the dragon in demark and became king in demark. Since Beowulf had been with Grendel’s mother Beowulf knew that that dragon was his son but since he was destroying his kingdom he had to do something about it. Beowulf fought the dragon up in the air and even underwater. At the end Beowulf was hanging from the dragon’s month in was right under its weak spot here his heart was and Beowulf tore it open and yanked his heart out. I think the reason being that the director did it this way was so Beowulf would realize that you can’t trust just anyone that comes your way.
In conclusion, there both the film and text where wonderful. Even though there were a lot of differences and similarities. Like Beowulf was having Waglaf as his right hand man in both text and film. The differences that caught my eyes were Beowulf lied about killing Grendel’s mother and about where and how he fought the dragon.

MEPHS Dress Code

MEPHS Dress Code

Some people either like or dislike the dress code for MEPHS. I have mix feelings about the dress code. Three reasons why I have mix feelings are because I don't like seeing everyone in the same uniform or cloths and I dislike it because I can't wear whatever I want to wear. Theses are two reason why i I dislike it I also like it the dress code because I can just wake up in I have my outfit ready.
The first reason that I dislike the dress code is because I see everybody in the same clothes. I feel that everyone wearing the same clothes makes the school look and feel boring and plain. To me it looks like they have us all locked up wearing the same clothes everyday. If they could at least let us wear bright and nice colors I couldn't have a big problem with the dress code. But they don't so that's one reason I dislike the dress code.
Another reason why I dislike the dress code is because I can't wear whatever I want. I am a person who loves to dress colorful. I'm also picky I like for my shoes to match my shirt and I can't always do that with the school dress code. I always express my personality and the way am feeling by the way i dress. With the school uniform I feel all depress sometimes because the days be so pretty outside and I can't wear a cute outfit to go with the day.
All though the dress code is not the style I like I also like it. I like it because when I am wake up I have my uniform ready. I don't have to rush to see what I want to push on in the mornings. It also saves times and you even have some minutes to chill at home or even eat a little snake, or for us girls it gives us more time to do our hair or our make up. It also saves time because you don't have to stop and think what color shirt goes what color pants or shoes. You can even wake up five minutes late.
This is why I have mix feelings about the MEPHS dress code. I just dislike seeing everyone in the same color. Thats plain and very boring. I can't wear the colors I want nor the cloths I want. I can't express my personality. But also I can't wear what I can't or that I dislike everyone wear the same cloths the good thing I like is that I don't have to be in a rush everyday to see what I have to wear. This is why I have mix feelings about the MEPHS dress code.

The Boy who cried wolf
The themes of this story is to not lie. The author is telling the reader not to lie because lying has its consequences. The boy lied so many times about the wolf coming to eat the sheeps, when there was a real wolf nobody believed him and nobody came to help. They lose his trust because when the people did come to help him he just laughed and laughed. A lot of people theses days lie about there age. They think that why lying about there age people are not going to treat them better. The consequence of that is that if they find out you lied to them there no longer going to believe what else you say about yourself. You might even end up losing that person and you could of had a great bond with them but since you lied that bond might end up braking. Thats why its better to always say the trust, because just by one little lie there always comes more.
